About the author
Claire. Trey. newbury Born in Oregon, USA, he started drawing cats at the age of two. She studied art at the University of Oregon, the Portland Academy of Art Museum, the California Institute of the Arts (now the San Francisco Art Institute), and the Grande Chalet des Arts in Paris, France. As an illustrator and children's writer, she has published 17 children's picture books in her lifetime, and has won the most important international picture book award: the Caldecott Award four times.

作、繪者簡介
克萊兒.特雷.紐伯瑞
出生於美國奧勒岡州,開始畫貓的年齡是兩歲。她曾先後於奧勒岡大學、波特蘭美術館學院、加州藝術學院(今舊金山藝術學院)和法國巴黎的大茅舍藝術學院就讀,學習藝術。同時身為插畫家與兒童作家的她,一生共出版了十七本兒童繪本,更曾四次榮獲國際重要的圖畫書大獎:凱迪克獎。
