About the Author
Laura Purdie Salas, a former teacher, believes that reading picture books and poetry can have a huge impact on life. She is the author of more than 130 children's picture books, and her works have won many international awards, including the "Can Be Series" (Best Book Award on Bank Street in the United States, International Reading Society Teachers' Choice Favorite Book), Lion of the Sky (Kirkes Annual Best Books, Parents Magazine Book of the Year), Bookspeak!: Poems about Books (Minnesota Book Awards, Best Books on Bank Street of America), and more.
