Richard grew up in Leamington, a famous British spa town. The creek was his happiest memory scene. He studied graphic design and illustration at the University of Plymouth, later completing a PhD. After graduation, he has been painting and doing various graphic designs. While working in the library, He liked work at the children's library the most, and began to think about whether to create picture books, so he became the creator of children's picture books, including "Snow Lion" and other books.

理查德．瓊斯
理查德．瓊斯小時候在英國著名的溫泉小鎮利明頓長大，小溪是他最快樂的回憶場景。長大以後，他在普利茅斯大學學習平面設計和插圖，後來還完成了博士學位。畢業後，他一直在畫畫，做各式各樣的平面設計。在圖書館工作期間，最喜歡兒童圖書館，開始思索是否要創作圖畫書，於是成為兒童繪本的創作者，繪有《雪獅》等書。
