About the Author
Laura Purdie Salas has authored more than 120 works of poetry and prose for children, including "Books Talk: Poems of Books," and "Running: Wild and Celebrating Poems on Campus." Laura knows that leaves can become many things. She once turned leaves into umbrellas, Barbie clothes, love notes, headdresses, fans, and even artwork. She lives with her family in Minnesota, USA, where she watches the leaves change throughout the year.
