Liz Climo
was born in 1981 and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA. At a young age, she began writing and illustrating her own short stories. Liz once said: "I have known many talented artists in my life. They inspired me but also made me feel insecure." In fact, Liz once felt a little inferior because of her "too cartoony" style of painting. While studying in art-related majors, in order to obtain a degree in "Animation and Illustration" Liz kept accumulating works, but was not admitted.

Liz who failed to make the list, received another good fortune: two weeks later, she got a contract as an animated character designer for "The Simpsons". At that time, she was 23 years old, had no savings and no place to live, so she borrowed a friend's apartment. Jie Ya (Andrea) home in order to adapt to the new environment. Litchi's work dedicated to friendship, "Lobster Cure Hundreds of Blindness", is derived from this memory, and the first chapter is named "A friend in need is a friend indeed".
As an animator, Liz carefully maintains her standards. After several years, she finally felt comfortable. As for illustrations and comics, Liz has also eliminated the haze of inferiority complex. Under constant encouragement and "strict" supervision from her husband, Liz uploaded interesting illustrations to Twitter, showing her confidence and healing many readers. 作／繪者簡介
麗池克萊姆（Liz Climo）
麗池生於1981年，成長於美國加州舊金山灣區，小小年紀，便開始邊寫邊畫自己的小故事。麗池曾說：「我一生中認識許多才華出眾的藝術家，他們既啟發我，卻也讓我感到沒安全感。」其實，麗池曾因自己「太卡通」的畫風，而感到些許自卑。就讀藝術相關科系期間，為考取「動畫與插畫」學位，麗池不懈累積作品，卻沒被錄取。
落榜的麗池，卻接住了另一份幸運：兩週後，她拿到《辛普森家庭》動畫角色設計師的合約，那年她23歲，既沒存款、又沒住處，借住友人安潔雅（Andrea）家，以便適應新環境。麗池獻給友情的作品《龍蝦治百瞎》便是源自於這段回憶，首章取名〈患難見真情〉。
麗池說：「我愛我的朋友們。我開始畫漫畫，是為了逗他們笑。」的確，麗池的好友布萊恩（Brian）說：「我總希望能有什麼方法，將麗池的獨特分裝到瓶子裡，與全世界分享。」
身為動畫師，麗池戰戰兢兢維持水準。數年過去，她總算感到得心應手。至於插畫、漫畫方面，麗池也一掃自卑陰霾。受先生不斷鼓勵與「嚴格」督促，麗池將有趣的插畫上傳推特（Twitter），展現自信之餘，也療癒許多讀者。麗池獨特的幽默，果然廣受歡迎，網站每月屢破25萬瀏覽人次。《麗池的異想世界》和其他溫馨幽默的作品由此而生，她的書溫暖讀者的心，在美、法、德、韓、台五國熱賣。
