About the author Lorenz Pauli A well-known Swiss writer of children's literature, born in Bern in 1967. In 1989, he received preschool education training, became a kindergarten teacher, and began to tell stories in various places. Polly likes to use simple props to assist storytelling, and his friendly stage image is deeply loved by adults and children. Humorous and witty, he has won the Austrian National Children's Poetry Award and a special award from the Literary Committee of the City of Bern. His works have won the Most Beautiful Book Award in Germany, the North Rhine-Westphalia Children's Book Award, the Leipzig Reading Compass Children's Book Award, and the International Children's Book Alliance IBBY Honor Book List.

羅倫斯．波利 Lorenz Pauli
瑞士知名兒童文學作家，1967年生於伯恩。原本從事銀行工作，但覺得這不是興趣所在，因此於1989年接受幼教訓練，成為幼兒園教師，並開始到各地講故事。波利喜歡運用簡單的道具來輔助說故事，親切的舞臺形象，深受大人與小孩的喜愛。
幽默風趣的筆調，曾獲奧地利國家兒童詩歌獎的榮譽證書和伯恩市文學委員會特別獎。作品曾獲德國最美麗圖書獎、北萊茵—威斯特法倫州童書獎、萊比錫閱讀羅盤童書獎與國際兒童讀物聯盟IBBY榮譽書單等。
