About the author and artist
Britta Teckentrup Award-winning picture book writer, illustrator and artist, born in Hamburg in 1969, grew up in Upata, moved to London in 1988, studied at St. Martin's Art Studied Illustration with the School of Design and the Royal College of Art. The style of painting is unique and delicate. Since 1993, he has created more than 80 children's books and published them in more than 20 countries. 作、繪者簡介
布麗塔．泰肯特拉普（Britta Teckentrup）
連連獲獎的繪本作家、插畫家和藝術家，1969年出生於漢堡，在烏帕塔成長，1988年遷至倫敦，于聖馬丁藝術與設計學院以及皇家藝術學院攻讀插畫。畫風獨特細膩，從1993年至今，創作了八十多本童書並陸續在二十多個國家出版，深受全世界讀者的歡迎，《嘀嘀嘟嘟大汽車》於2008年進入《衛報》暢銷書榜單、《不笑的臭臉貓》被英國政府選為孩子必讀讀物，在英國銷量已超過25萬冊、《小狼之歌》在意大利被改編為話劇上演，並被美國《史密森尼》雜誌選為2010年度童書。除了童書之外，也創作純藝術，作品常在倫敦藝廊跟世界各地的藝展上發表展出。目前與蘇格蘭籍丈夫文生跟老貓奧斯卡住在柏林。

譯者簡介
吳嘉儀
自小以書為師，以筆為友，愛創作塗鴉。畢業於香港中文大學，主修中國語言及文學，其後進研究院專攻語言學。曾擔任文林出版有限公司主編十多年，策劃有關心靈、宗教、品格及生命教育的出版項目，包括由幼兒到成年人的課程及圖書，編著甚豐。醉心於童書翻譯及賞析，譯著共三十多本，如《藍天售貨員》、《香噴噴的探訪日》等。相信靜謐的文字能觸動人最深層的思想情感，引領人反思自己，以至世界。現居英國，為自由撰稿人及譯者。
