About the Author
Leila Rudge is an award-winning picture book writer. Born and raised in England, she trained as a professional illustrator at the local Bath Spa University. Because of her longing for the bright sunshine in Australia, she flew to the local area immediately after graduation, and she still lives here with her husband and son.
Her painting style is meticulous, and the colors are soft and comfortable. She not only uses wood color and watercolor to construct the picture, but also adds hand-torn collage colored paper and magazine fragments, which is more interesting and enriches the visual experience of readers.

作者簡介
蕾拉．羅奇（Leila Rudge）
屢獲殊榮的繪本作家。她在英格蘭出生和成長，於當地的巴斯思巴大學（Bath Spa University）接受專業插畫訓練。因為嚮往澳洲的燦爛陽光，畢業後旋即飛往當地，至今仍然與丈夫及兒子定居於此。
羅奇的插畫在2009年首次亮相於麥格．麥肯利（Meg Mckinlay）著作的橋梁書《鴨子來我家》（暫譯，Duck for a Day），更入選角逐澳洲童書理事會（CBCA）少年圖書年度圖書獎。其後陸續出版的童書，包括與莉比．葛利森（Libby Gleeson）合作的《媽媽去上班》（暫譯，Ｍum Goes to Work），與麥格．麥肯利再度合作的《沒有小熊》（暫譯，No Bears），以及她首本自行創作及繪畫的《一個完美的地方》（暫譯，A Perfect Place for Ted）等，全都深受各界喜愛，部分更獲得獎項肯定。
